Now that we have downgraded to Alert Level 2 for our national Covid 19 response, our team is now back in the studio, and are learning new habits to maintain appropriate physical distancing. We have also implemented contact tracing strategies that include using Rippl, as well as a hand written register for those who won’t use ‘smart tech’ (we like being inclusive).
We are happy to be back into our inner city studio, where we can return to a more collaborative approach to our work, rather than be siloed in our individual homes. ‘Zoom’ was fun while it lasted, but it is a pale alternative to face to face interaction, and as hard as we tried, collaborative design was difficult. Hopefully we won’t have to go there again in a hurry, but at least, next time we will know that we can do it.
We thank our clients and collaborators who have been patient with us while we adjusted to the previous lockdown constraints. We are also thankful that we managed to remain busy through the Level 4 and Level 3 periods, and can report that all of our building sites have also sprung back into life. Our construction partners are all showing an equal commitment maintaining transmission prevention strategies, and are doing their best to keep our extended community safe.
We maybe now in a new normal, or some other paradigm shift, which we have little control over, but we have done our part uptil now, and remain committed to continuing to do so. On a final note, our studio phone line is now being answered by a real person again (mostly anyway), so please feel free to call and discuss your new exciting project with us and let us show you how we can help you.
